Lessons

I was once told that I write best when I'm hurt. Today, I beg to differ, I write the best when I've learned a lesson. Personal lessons are definitely ones that stay with you the longest.

I was reminded that Life is the ultimate teacher. Each lesson comes with a small price to pay. Some lessons are valued at a penny and others, there's no value equivalent to the lesson you learn.

Today, I learned that it's more important to value yourself than to expect someone to acknowledge your worth. We're worth the truth and no lies, we're worth more than Im sorry and I'll do better.

As I shed a few tears today, for once they did NOT come from a place of pain but a sincere place of closure. I'm a natural born fixer but I'm learning that I cannot fix everyone and everything and I have to be okay with it. I do know, the lessons I've learned in these past 2 years have not been all bad.

I've learned to stand alone and be okay with it. I've learned the energy I produce will be the energy I get back. I've learned that no matter what in the end, I have to be okay and happy with me 1st before I can help anyone else experience happiness..

They say when a woman is quiet you should be worried.. I've learned that it's better to be quiet than to be a babbling fool.. Everyday my son reminds me, " Mommy be calm, it's ok" and for once I embraced and welcomed the "Ok"..

I don't give A...........

Today was that day. If I worked for someone I probably would've flipped the entire desk over because I was in a I don't  give a...... Mood.( I don't give a f... About you or anything that you do... YES Big Sean, feeling a little thuggish)..
They say when something big is about to happen, everything small seems bigger than what it is...

I've been in this place before. Frustrated and just tired. I think we all reach a plateau and then we start to wonder, "Is there more I could be doing"? I'm working on a few projects, blogging for a few events, upcoming Ebook release (yay, finally!!!), helping a few sistergirls with their projects and STILL running KISS. But I still feel I need to do more.
What's wrong with me?!! Lol

I know, I know I can't conquer the world but some days I want too. Rome wasn't built in a day but some days I want to build endlessly.

If I could just withdraw from the world for a few days and re-energize I think all of these frustrations would work themselves out.

Today Lovies, I have nothing to say but this: Rest Well, Love Yourself, Fix what you can and the rest?? Let it work itself out. I'm going to take my frustrations out on the pavement and in the gym... There's no room for Part time punks. You're either strong and you're gonna fight thru it or you'll retreat.. I shall NOT lose!

If only for a Moment...

This morning I woke up feeling just like a " bag of money". What it truly means I'll never know ( I have lame girl tendacies), however I woke up feeling great. Prayed and started my morning. Washed my face, brushed my teeth and got my daughter up for school.

Proceeded with the morning and because she was running late and I was feeling good, I dropped her off at school. I smiled at the other cars driving thru the drop- off line and wondered if they were feeling like " a bag of money" like me.  Lol

I arrived back home and continued feeling happy until.....
I started checking on my sister girls and they had so many things going on with them. My heart began to sank and some revealed they were in their feelings, 2 felt discouraged and one dealing with serious family issues. Ahhhhhhh, the woes of life. And it never stops. There's 24 hours in a day and if you're anything like me, you go thru the day attending to everyone else's needs and not your own.

My challenge for you is simple: if only for a moment find a reason that fills you with laughter, joy, happiness and smiles. Take a few moments and make them yours. Heck, think about that " bag of money" and how you would spend it...

.... Tithes, shoes, new vehicle, vacation, a house, yup you get it!! Just to name a few.

Don't worry about tomorrow, for it is not here. Use today and focus on what can be done to bring YOU happiness.

I'm sure there's a rap or phrase that goes with a " bag of money" but in the meantime, if only for a moment I'm going to live like I got it!!
