Snatched Hunni...

I swear, I have friends who I laugh with, cry with, be petty with( although I'm mostly the petty one and I pull them in) pray with, grow with.. I mean my circle of sisterfriends IS quite amazing.. I know for sure I'm no easy pill so if they've been around longer than 5 years, they're the real MVP lol!

It's funny, they each play a specific role in whatever season I'm in. Yesterday, my Sissy and I talked about a number of things. Threw out a few why's and we even tried to come up with some solutions. We spoke a few of our heart's desires and then the petty came in.. Lol

Listen, I don't know about y'all but 40 is soon knocking at my door. Although it's hard to believe because I try to keep myself together; it hit me, I need to be Snatched & Prosperous by 40. I told my sissy, "You just gave me a blog".. As I sat and I pondered what does Snatched really mean? Is it having the small waist, make up being on point, hair down my back, nails together?? To me, Snatched is what YOU feel it s for your Life.. I can walk around in a pair of leggings but if I have a little lip gloss on, eye liner on these 2 here eyes and some mascara then Hunni I'm together.. If my undergarments doing their job and holding certain things in then yup I'm snatched. I must admit, body alteration is the way some of us chose to go.. But if you just take a few minutes and walk/ run/ drink water instead of koolaid then you're well on your way..

And the PROSPEROUS part!!! Listen, I promise Father you can trust me! I mean I've fooled over my money before but right NOW today, You can trust me!! Yup, I'm going to tithe into my church, I'm going to help the homeless( maybe even open a shelter), I'll invest, sow seeds, remove debt BUT I'm also going to buy a few bags, houses and some shoes.. I mean can't look snatched but wearing shoes from 8 seasons ago!

I won't go overboard but just enough to match that Snatch!!

Hey, it's okay to laugh a little but it's even better to declare a few things too!! Ladies I'm declaring SNATCHed and PROSPERITY become my portion..

Ang guys, don't get it twisted you too can be Snatched!!

Just a little blog humor for your Friday!! Enjoy this long weekend and work on being snatched for next week!!

Lil Boy Bye....

I absolutely, positively loathe SOCKS!! I know, no socks your feet will sweat and stink but I don't like them. But I'll sleep in them when it's chilly because they hold in heat..Or, I'll put them on to walk around in the house because I feel like I need something on my feet.  Please don't judge my life! Lol It works for me...

Keeping up with socks in our house is like a chore. In the laundry room we have a basket just for socks. I wash them and I promise the dryer bandit takes a few everytime. We also have what we call the sock bag and we just grab socks and put them on( well for me it's very sporadic).

This morning after working out and showering for the day, I was sitting on the edge of my bed lotioning my legs and feet( which by the way my toes are absolutely yummy with this new color by Sally Hansen<---- plug) I put on a pair of non matching socks. I walk out of my bedroom to proceed with my day and little Mr. You know who Boychild, taps me and says, " Mommy you don't know your colors, your socks don't match"... I looked down at this soon to be 4 year old and said, " excuse me". He pointed at my socks and said, " that one sock is purple and that other sock is pink".

All I could do was laugh because( and I hate to admit it) he's right. They don't match. Lol
This adds to my reason for me not to wear socks. We lose them.. But if you look closey, in MY defense they match because the colors are the same. ( yup I'll disagree with a kid too) lol

Well lovies, what can I say. There's always a laughable, teachable moment with children and I'm glad he's paying attention. So what if we're wearing mismatched socks. If I'm happy, you should just love it... Yes son, you too!!

Opening Night.... M-I-C-K-E-Y, MO-US-EEEEEEE!!!

This has been the year of Disney for my household! We experienced Disney World in April and lastnite, we participated in Rockin' Ever After( presented by yes, Disney on Ice) through the Mommy Blogger Network. It was such a cool event and the seats were GREAT too.

It's always so easy to become childlike when Disney is concerned! I found myself rocking, singing and swaying to the beat of a number of Disney Classics... " Be Our Guest" and of course " Mother knows BEST"( only because we do)... As I sat with my mommy friends( even met a new Mommy Blogger Carlene), we realized we were having just as much fun as the kids. There were smiles on EVERYONE'S faces even my one year old son( who had to attend the event by default because daddy is out of town). To see all the little girls in their princess attire, with wands and crowns was the highlight of my evening. Dads walking around with Flounder hats from their cotton candy, grandmothers in line buying snow cones. Disney has a magical way of uniting families and bringing out the best in everyone.

I must admit, Beauty and the Beast will always be a favorite of mine( shhhh don't tell my daughter because she loves Sleeping Beauty). There's something magical about a Beast having a heart of gold and kitchen utensils singing to you as they serve your dinner!!

I was also introduced to a new warrior Princess BRAVE. Guess that's a new DVD to add to our collection!

As the show came to an end, so did the magic. As we left Philips Arena, reality hit. We had to walk through the crowds of people to get to the car, jump on the highway to make it home, get the kids in, bathed and ready for the following school day and find a minute to unwind from the day's activities. Would I do it all again? In a heart beat. There's just a feeling you get from being apart of the most magical place on Earth no matter where you are!!

So, thank-you for the midweek visit to Disney! Thank you Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Sebastin, Flounder, Ariel, Rapunzel(Tangled) and Brave. Thank you for the laughs, the songs and memories. Thank-you for allowing my little people and I to Be Your Guest!! We appreciate it!!
